In a devotional book I am reading with other mom's on prayer, it talkes about how you should pen your praises down so you can journal them see all the blessings. For some reason, it struck me, and so tues morning, I jotted a quick list.
Aulden smiling while he is sleeping.
James taking care of our family.
James thinking my mommy body is beautiful.
My mother, for coming over and taking care of us while everyone was down sick.
My brother in law driving to find my mother to come and take care of me (her phone wasn't working)
My Dr's practice. Not only do they have an after hrs office, they have an on call dr. He listened to my symptoms, felt confident enough to prescribe me meds over the phone so I could get it quicker than coming in. Then he e-mail my primary dr so he would know what was going on. I love my Drs!!!!
Waking up nose to nose with my Winnie Girl's tail wagging out of control b/c she is soooo excited to see me
Hearing Aulden laugh , really hard.
Laughter
My marriage, I realize more and more every day how blessed and happy we are.

Home made food
First off, after the last post, James' leg is fine. He was on drugs for a while, and that seemed to take care of the swelling.
So Aulden has got his first tooth and is cutting number two. The realization that mothers milk wasn't going to cut it anymore lit a fire under me to get him started on oatmeal. Which he loves and seems to do very well with. So we decided to progress to other food, store bought food. And I bought peaches, peas, sweet pat, and apple sauce... all in little containers. Well he didn't like half of them, realizing it may take several tires b/f he did. BUT even still we were wasting an entire container of food.
DAH DAH!!! ( light bulb going off in head) what if I freezed and made his own food?!
I found a really really good book, love in spoonfuls, and it shows me how to prepare the food, freeze it and then serve it. Even shows me how to progress through the months and his different stages, allowing the entire family to eat off one meal.
So I thought I would start off slow, with some fruit and veggies.... and it was SOOOO easy. Just puree, and freeze in ice cube trays!!! So far I have made blueberries- which was hysterical watching him eat. Mangos- which he LOVES, Avacadoo, Plumes and Cherries. This week I plan to fix squash, sweet pat, peaches, and turkey. I was really surprised how much it made, so I think we should be good for a while!
