Welcome Audrey Elizabeth

So it isn't a welcome into the world, but it is a welcome to the Wide World Web :)

Lately most (if not all our pics/ videos) have been captured on our iPad.So it makes it difficult to post pics here. But no excuses, I need to do better.

Other than having RSV (if you don't know what this is, look it up- a VERY bad virus for babies) our growing family is doing well.

Audlen is into EVERYTHING. and has very much taken on the roll as big brother. He reffers to Audrey as 'baby'
Winnie on the otherhand is not as amused. This has interferred with her play time and is not happy. BUT she will still bark at and even growl at someone who looks at Audrey. So I know, deep down, winnie loves her.

James and I are getting some sleep, until 2 am. At which point I take her upstairs to nurse, and then Aulden wakes up. So we have adapted a 1:1 defense strategy. :)

We are still in the townhouse, but have set a goal to be building by the end of the year. I would love love love to be in our house by their birthdays, but pretty sure we will miss that mark.

Anywho- will post more pics once I get them converted.

Surprise I am here!!!

I had started cramping on monday night, so I decided to work from home on Tues in case something happens (and since I had my normal check up at 3:30)
Well when I got into the Dr, they of course busted my bubble saying I was not having contractions, and I had not dilated any more past 1 cm.
So we made it home from dinner around 5- and I was still cramping BAD. So I tried to take a bath and nothing seemed to help. We got in the car to go to small group (b/c I didn't want James to leave me a lone :)) and it hurt soo bad that I started crying hysterically. So by that point, James wanted to call the Dr. b/c I had started bleeding at home. We called the Dr and they said to come in and get checked out.
When I got in around 10 pm, they said I WAS having contractions- PRAISE GOD! I knew I wasn't crazy!- but I was only still only 1cm.
By midnight, by water had broke, and I was up to 3 cm- so they admitted me into Labor and Delivery. I got an epidural sometime after that (not sure how long) and it made everything all better. I was able to breath through the contractions- but James did not like my moaning:) ... but hey- it made me feel better :)
By 3 am, I was resting good- and up to 7cm, when they checked me again at 5am, I was at 9.5!!! Then it stopped.
From 5am to 9am I had no changes, but my body was still acting as if I were at the end stages of active labor. So the pressure to push was almost unbearable. They gave me a different med for the epidural- and it was like a block. I honestly didn't feel ANYTHING from my ribs down. They had to lift and move any body part they wanted, couldn't tell what they were doing.
So the pushing came at about 9:45.... which I wasn't sure I was doing b/c I couldn't feel anything :) Great for labor pains, not soo much for pushing. But after 1 hr of pushing I was exhausted- and starting to feel him. Now that is pain- no matter how much drugs you have.
Out he came at 10:42!!! No complications with either of us, the staff all said it was a great and easy delivery!

So enough about me, and time for Aulden.
Born 10:42 am, Feb 3rd 2010
7 lbs, 12 oz.
21.5 inches.

I have LONG dark hair ( like my aunt Hannah). So mom and Dad like to spike it!
They think I have my daddy's eyes - I don't like leaving them open very long so it leaves them guessing.
I have my momma's nose. But I have my daddy's fingers and toes!

I know most of you know about my right leg and feet swelling... well this is on a good day!!!

For those who have asked- James is doing much much better. And no, it wasn't nerves :) Just a nasty stomach bug. After a day of sleeping- he finally broke his fever and went into work the next day. Thanks for every one's prayers!!!

Such a Slacker!!!!

Ahh the past month has been very crazy for us, so I have been slack in updating the blog.

We did have our detailed ultrasound and everything turned out just fine. Aulden does still have the 'white spot' on his heart, but none of the doctors thing it will have any effect on him. Everything else with the pregnancy is moving along just fine :) Currently at week 23ish so can't really hide the belly any more :)Not long before the we start the last trimester!!!!

We have started getting things ready for the nursery. We decided to flip the office and guest room. The office is smaller but will hold all our guest room furniture, allowing us to have the bigger room for the nursery. Which means we get to keep the day bed and desk in there:)
Hopefully with in the next few weeks we will actually start getting things and setting the room up :)!

Snakes, snails, and puppy dog tails

.....that is what Aulden James Rainey is made of :)
Today during the ultrasound, they were able to determine we were having a little boy! :) As soon as I can get our scanner working, I will load some pictures. She had a hard time even getting clear pictures b/c he was moving around soo much. Guess that was due to the Mt. Dew I had right before I walked in! :)
They measured me at 19 weeks, and said everything is on track and developing correctly. Brain, Heart, stomach, and kidneys all looked good.
They did see a 'white spot' on the heart so they want us get a more detailed ultrasound, but the Dr didn't think it was anything since everything had developed correctly. So, darn, another ultrasound :)
